Caiming SUN, Senior Member of IEEE, Research Associate Professor of School of Science and Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Beijing Normal University in 2002 and 2005 respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2008. After PhD graduation, he continues working in CUHK as a Postdoc Fellow. Then, he works as a Technical Manager in Nano and Advanced Material Institute Ltd. He has more than 15 years of R&D experience, supported by NSFC, HK ITF, etc. In 2016, he joined the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. His research interests include Optical Wireless Communications, Optical Phased Array, LiDAR for robotics, and Legged robots. He has published more than 50 papers in top journals and conference proceedings (JSTQE, JLT, Optics Express, Optics Letters, OFC, CLEO, ICRA, and IROS), and granted over 30 patents (8 granted US patents).
