The School of Science and Engineering at CUHK -Shenzhen envisions to be acknowledged regionally, nationally and internationally as a first-class centre of scholarship in science and engineering whose bilingual, global and interdisciplinary dimensions of teaching and learning, scholarly output and contribution to the community consistently meet standards of excellence. Our mission is to train innovative, forward-thinking, globally-minded and principled scientists, engineers and leaders who strive for the betterment of industries and society, thereby serving the needs and enhancing the well-being of the citizens of the Pearl River Delta.

Currently, SSE offers programmes covering six research areas: Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, Materials and New Energy Science and Engineering, all boasting top-notch faculty members hired worldwide.
