New Energy Science and Engineering
Aligned with the national strategies and industry needs, the program is dedicated to cultivating interdisciplinary experts for the new energy sector. It covers the critical aspects of new energy materials, new energy devices, energy systems, and energy economics, featuring a unique “AI + Energy” focus. Through collaborations with well-known enterprises such as State Grid Corporation of China, China Southern Power Grid, Huawei, Tencent, and Guotai Junan Securities, students gain opportunities for practical experience and innovation.
Most graduates pursue further studies at world-renowned universities such as the University of California, Berkeley, Cornell University, Carnegie Mellon University, University of California, Los Angeles, National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, and the University of Hong Kong, or secure employment at top companies like China Southern Power Grid, Huawei, and Ping An.

- New Energy Science: Based on the classic courses of mathematics, physics, chemistry, and materials science, it introduces the latest advancements in optoelectronics, catalytic chemistry, energy storage, and energy conversion, emphasizing the development and utilization of new energy sources, particularly renewables.
- Intelligent Energy Engineering: Focusing on the smart energy systems, it includes courses in electric power systems, electrical machinery, power electronics and new energy materials. It strongly emphasizes computer and artificial intelligence, integrating studies in integrated circuits, signal systems, advanced statistics, and other related areas
