School of Science and Engineering is located in Shenzhen, a core city of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Adhering to CUHK’s excellent academic and humanistic tradition, the School is committed to nurturing innovative technology leaders embracing China and the world with global visions and social responsibility.

As one of the initial schools of the University, SSE has so far offered seven undergraduate programs: Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science and Engineering, New Energy Science and Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Financial Engineering; four master programs: Communications Engineering, Computer and Information Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Supply Chain and Logistics Management; and seven MPhil-PhD programs: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, Energy Science and Engineering, Computer and Information Engineering, Biomedical Engineering. Following the lofty educational philosophy and sound academic system of CUHK, SSE and its extraordinary faculty from all over the world have produced a succession of outstanding graduates. Even under the complex international situation of the global pandemic, SSE graduates still secured a high employment rate.

At present, SSE has established partnerships with a number of world-renowned universities to jointly cultivate the high-end international talents that the country needs. Referencing the successful experience of overseas institutes, we have recruited a high-caliber team of faculty members, and established joint laboratories, offering the highest quality teaching resources that will facilitate students’ practical and hands-on skills.

SSE students shall always maintain a strong sense of curiosity and entrepreneurship. Only by standing on the shoulders of giants will you be able to see higher and farther.
