张建辉教授于中国科学技术大学获得学士学位(2002),德国海德堡大学获得硕士学位(2005),慕尼黑工业大学获得博士学位(2009)。 之后在法国CEA-Saclay、上海交通大学、德国雷根斯堡大学从事博士后研究工作,后加入北京师范大学任教并于2020年起任教授。2022年加入香港中文大学(深圳)任副教授。
他的研究兴趣包括微扰和非微扰量子色动力学(QCD),尤其是强子结构研究及其与电子-离子对撞机等高能对撞机上的现象学间的关联。他对发展应用于第一性原理格点QCD计算以及对撞机现象学的新方法也有着浓厚的研究兴趣。
