贺冬冬教授于2006年在合肥工业大学数学学院信息与计算科学专业取得学士学位后保送至复旦大学数学科学学院直接攻读博士学位,于2009年结束在复旦三年的直博生学习后前往加拿大约克大学数学与统计系攻读博士学位,于2012年10月取得约克大学应用数学方向博士学位。 从2012年8月到2013年11月,他在香港城市大学数学系从事博士后研究。从2013年9月到2017年10月,他在同济大学航空航天与力学学院担任助理教授(2013年9月-2016年12月)和副教授(2016年12月-2017年10月)。 贺冬冬于2017年11月加入香港中文大学(深圳)理工学院担任助理教授(副研究员)。
贺教授的研究兴趣包括:偏微分方程数值解、数学建模与科学计算、计算流体力学、应用渐近分析等。他已经在国际顶级期刊Journal of Fluid Mechanics、 Journal of Computational Physics、Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering等发表SCI论文30余篇,并主持包括国家自然基金青年基金和面上项目、教育部留学回国人员基金等在内的多个科研项目。
