个人简介
常瑞华现任香港中文大学(深圳)理工学院教授,于1987年博士毕业于加州大学伯克利分校,获电子工程与计算机科学博士学位,曾担任加州大学伯克利分校工学院副院长及电子工程与计算机科学系Whinnery讲座教授,清华-伯克利深圳学院共同院长。她是美国国家工程院及发明院院士,IEEE,IEE及美国光学学会(OSA现名Optica)会士。
常瑞华院士为垂直腔面发射激光器(VCSEL)的物理、设计、材料和应用做出了开创性的贡献,并使得VCSEL确立了在多模光纤应用,光学相干层析成像和3D传感应用等领域的统治地位。她曾获得过许多国际大奖,包括IEEE David Sarnoff 成就奖、日本大川奖、国际半导体化合物大会Welker奖、联合国教科文组织纳米科学和纳米技术发展奖章等。
常院士曾担任全球学术团体领航,领导并推动了多个国际会议和期刊的确立和发展。她曾任IEEE和OSA主办的旗舰期刊《光波技术杂志》(Journal of Lightwave Technology)2007-2012年的总编辑及重要委员会、国际会议主办团成员及主席,美国光学学会(OSA现名Optica)主席。
