个人简介
陈永勤博士现任香港中文大学(深圳)思廷书院院长及人文社科学院教授、理工学院客座教授,曾任香港中文大学地理与资源管理学系主任。八十年代中他毕业于中山大学,后赴美留学取得佐治亚大学博士学位。他的研究成果已经发表在130多篇学术期刊文章(包括Nature Climate Change和PNAS等国际顶级刊物)以及六本有关专著。他曾获得国家教育部和中国自然资源学会的研究奖项,近年来每年都入选斯坦福大学发布的全球前2%顶尖科学家榜单及Research.com顶尖科学家榜单。除了教学、科研和行政管理工作,陈教授多年来还在若干学术专业团体和政府顾问委员会担任职务,包括环球中国环境专家协会会长、中国环境资源与生态保育学会副理事长、深圳市城市规划委员会非公务委员、香港环护教育基金会主席和香港天文台策略顾问委员会委员等。
