个人简介

李东教授于1971年从台湾成功大学获得电机工程学士学位，并分别于1976和1977年从Polytechnic Institute of New York University（现纽约大学Tandon工学院）获得硕士及博士学位。目前，他是香港中文大学（深圳）理工学院教授。2013至2017年，他曾任上海交通大学电子工程学系致远讲座教授。1991至2013年，他曾任香港中文大学信息工程学系讲座教授。1991至1993年，他曾任Polytechnic Institute of New York University（现纽约大学Tandon工学院）电子工程学系教授。1989至1991年，他曾任纽约哥伦比亚大学电机工程学系兼仼副教授。1977至1983年期间，他在AT&T贝尔实验室从事研究工作，1983至1993年，在贝尔通信实验室（现Telcordia Technologies）工作。他是国际电机及电子工程师学会会士（IEEE Fellow），以及中国香港工程师学会会士（HKIE Fellow）。他曾获得许多奖章，其中包括国际电机及电子工程通信学会的1989年Leonard G. Abraham奖，以及1999年中国国家自然科学三等奖。他曾担任IEEE Transactions on Communications的编辑，并且担任Journal of Communication Networks编辑。
