About the Forum
The Long Feng Science Forum is a registered brand of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. The Forum consists of Main Forum, Workshop Series, and Seminar Series. The School of Science and Engineering has hosted six main forums, which have attracted a large number of top scientists, outstanding young scholars and industry leaders in various fields and received overwhelming responses.
The "2024 Global Young Scholars’ Forum" will be held in onsite and online mixed mode, from November 1 to 3, 2024. The forum will invite young talents and rising stars with high potential in various disciplines at home and abroad to share their research results and experiences through academic reports, discuss the hot spots of the disciplines together, and generate diversified viewpoints to collide. The forum is a crucial part of our faculty recruitment process. It will help the introduction and development of high-level talents in the University.

Application Requirements
1.Have obtained (or will obtain within a year) a Ph.D. degree from a reputable university at home or abroad.
2.Have made significant achievements in the research fields of Materials, Chemistry, Physics, Energy Science and related interdisciplinary subjects; Partial Differential Equations, Computational Mathematics, Financial Mathematics, Algebra, Geometry, Topology, Financial Engineering and related interdisciplinary subjects; Circuits and Device, Computer Vision, Network Science, Communication Systems and Optimization, Robotics, Information Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Energy Engineering, Integrated Circuits, Optoelectronics, etc.
Schedule
This forum will be held in mixed mode, onsite and online, with the following specific arrangements.
Deadline for registration: September 20, 2024.
Invited guests will be notified from October 14 to 16, 2024.
Forum will be held from November 1 to 3, 2024, at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen & via Zoom.
Forum Information
There will be three sub-forums, including Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Venue: Shenzhen, China & Online
Applicants can choose their preferred way of participation, either onsite or online. After the preliminary screening and review by the forum organizing committee and experts from the School of Science and Engineering, invitation letters will be sent to outstanding candidates who meet the criteria, specifying the method of participation. Young scholars invited to participate onsite need to book round-trip tickets by themselves and attend the forum on time. The forum will provide accommodation and meals during the conference, as well as cover the cost of international round-trip tickets within a specified period (7 days before and after the Forum, namely from October 25 – November 10; Reimbursement cap for Europe and America is 15,000 CNY, for Asia-Pacific 8,000 CNY, and for domestic travel 5,000 CNY, limited to economy class and reimbursement will be based on actual expenses). Detailed reimbursement guidelines will be sent with the invitation letter.

School of Science and Engineering (SSE) is located in Shenzhen, a core city of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
