Prof. HUANG, Jianwei Receives 2022 Publication Award from IEEE ComSoc Technical Committee on Cognitive Networks
Presidential Chair Professor HUANG, Jianwei of the School of Science and Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) was recently awarded the 2022 Publication Award from IEEE ComSoc Technical Committee on Cognitive Networks (TCCN), for his exemplary contributions to the research fields of wireless network optimization and spectrum sharing. Prof. Huang is currently the Associate Dean of SSE and the Associate Vice President of the University.
The IEEE Communications Society (IEEE ComSoc) is a leading global community comprised of a diverse set of professionals with a common interest in advancing all communications and networking technologies. Currently, IEEE ComSoc has set up over 20 technical committees, covering optical communications, mobile communications, satellite communications, vehicular communications, hydroacoustic communications, network data exchange, Internet, mobile radio networks, sensor networks, self-organizing networks, signal processing, communication equipment and systems, etc.
The Technical Committee on Cognitive Networks (TCCN) was founded in June 2007 and focuses on applying artificial intelligence design concepts (perception, learning/reasoning, decision making/adaptive loops) and technical methods (machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, etc.) to communication and network system design. The goal of TCCN is to provide a platform for its members in particular, and the cognitive networking research, development, policy making and standardization community in general, to interact and exchange technical ideas to identify major challenges and also derive solutions in the development of cognitive networking technologies.
