个人简介:


       陈长汶教授,国家千人计划特聘专家(2013),国家杰出青年基金(海外)获得者(2003),著名的德国洪堡研究奖获得者(2010)。现任香港中文大学(深圳)理工学院院长,讲座教授。陈教授于1983年获得中国科学技术大学自动化系学士学位,1986年获美国南加州大学电子工程系硕士学位,1992年获美国伊利诺大学香槟分校电子与计算机工程系博士学位。
 
     自1992年起,陈长汶教授先后任美国罗切斯特大学电子与计算机工程系助理教授、美国密苏里大学哥伦比亚分校电子工程系助理教授及副教授、美国佛罗里达理工学院电子与计算机工程系Allen Henry 杰出讲座教授、美国纽约州立大学布法罗分校计算机科学与工程系 Empire Innovation 冠名教授。自1995年起,陈教授先后任美国柯达研究院电子成像咨询专家、中国北京微软亚洲研究院客座高级研究员、美国 Davis Sarnoff 研究院交互多媒体实验室主任以及中国华为技术公司中央研究院高级技术顾问。
 
      陈教授的研究方向包括移动云媒体,移动社交媒体,云媒体内容分发,多媒体安全,移动增强现实,移动虚拟现实,移动多媒体搜索,第五代移动通讯,无线传感器网络,视频物联网,三维视频,计算机视觉,机器学习,智慧城市等等。由于他的杰出成就,近年来获得了多项研究及专业奖项,包括2016年纽约州立大学总校杰出学术成就最高奖,2012年纽约州立大学布法罗分校杰出学术成就奖,2003年美国密苏里哥伦比亚分校Sigma Xi 杰出研究生导师奖。他与他的学生一起,共获得8次最佳论文奖。
 
       陈教授自2006年至2009年,担任IEEE Trans. Circuits and Systems for Video Technology (视频技术顶级期刊)的主编,自2014年至2016年,担任IEEE Trans. Multimedia (多媒体技术顶级期刊)的主编。他同时还担任多个国际一流期刊的编委,包括著名的Proceedings of IEEE, IEEE Journal of Selected Areas in Communications等等。由于对图像视频处理与分析、电子成像、视觉通信、移动通信等领域的卓越贡献,陈教授于2004年当选为IEEE Fellow(美国电气和电子工程师协会会士),并于2007年当选为SPIE Fellow(国际光学工程学会会士)。
